Each year, NORD\u2019s Breakthrough Summit brings together more than 900 attendees to share the latest developments in the rare disease community.<\/p>\n

This year, the NORD Summit\u2019s theme, \u201cEquitable Access to Innovation,\u201d was woven into the sessions. Rising out of this overarching theme were three major topics consistently mentioned as both priorities and persistent gaps in the rare disease care environment. The topics were: Ensuring patient centeredness in care planning, delivering access to innovative therapies, and narrowing the focus on innovation.
